1. BOOKING TERMS AND CONDITIONS
- 1.1A booking is confirmed only upon receipt of full payment or upon acceptance of a reserved (cash) booking, subject to our cancellation policy.
- 1.2Tour schedules, routes, and islands visited may change due to weather, sea conditions, government regulations, or safety considerations, at the sole discretion of the Company and the boat captain.
- 1.3Published rates include the services listed as inclusions at the time of booking. Environmental fees (PHP 400/person), lagoon entrance fees (PHP 200/person), and optional equipment are excluded unless stated and are payable on-site.
2. ASSUMPTION OF RISK
- 2.1The Guest acknowledges that island hopping, boating, swimming, snorkeling, and related water activities involve inherent and unavoidable risks, including but not limited to: drowning, slips and falls, collisions, sunburn, dehydration, marine life encounters (jellyfish, sea urchins), strong currents, waves, weather changes, and equipment failure.
- 2.2The Guest voluntarily participates with full knowledge of these risks and assumes all such risks, whether foreseen or unforeseen.
3. SAFETY RULES
- 3.1Life vests are provided and MUST be worn during boat transfers and when instructed by the crew. Refusal to wear a life vest when required is at the Guest's own risk.
- 3.2The Guest must follow all instructions given by the boat captain and crew at all times. Failure to comply may result in removal from the activity without refund.
- 3.3Guests who choose to swim or snorkel do so voluntarily. Provided the crew has made life vests available and given reasonable safety instructions, the Guest assumes full responsibility for their own swimming and snorkeling activity.
- 3.4Children must be supervised by their accompanying adult at all times.
- 3.5Guests must declare if they cannot swim. Non-swimmers must wear a life vest in the water at all times.
4. ALCOHOL AND DRUG POLICY
- 4.1Guests who are intoxicated or under the influence of alcohol or drugs may be refused boarding or removed from the activity without refund.
- 4.2Alcohol consumption before or during the tour is at the Guest's own risk and may result in exclusion from swimming, snorkeling, or boating activities.
- 4.3The use of illegal drugs is strictly prohibited and will be reported to local authorities.
5. WILDLIFE AND ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
- 5.1Marine wildlife in the Philippines is protected under the Wildlife Resources Conservation and Protection Act (R.A. 9147) and related regulations.
- 5.2Guests must NOT touch, chase, feed, ride, grab, harass, collect, or disturb turtles, fish, corals, or any marine wildlife.
- 5.3Guests must not remove shells, corals, sand, or any natural material from the environment.
- 5.4Any Guest who violates these rules may be removed from the activity without refund and may be reported to local authorities. Any resulting fines or penalties are borne solely by the Guest.
6. PERSONAL BELONGINGS
- 6.1Guests are responsible for their own personal belongings.
- 6.2The Company is not responsible for lost, stolen, wet, or damaged items, including but not limited to phones, cameras, bags, jewelry, passports, cash, and electronics. Guests are advised to leave valuables at their accommodation.
7. MEDICAL CONDITIONS AND FITNESS TO PARTICIPATE
- 7.1The Guest confirms they are physically fit to participate and have disclosed any relevant medical conditions, allergies, or pregnancies at the time of booking.
- 7.2The Company may refuse participation where, in its reasonable judgment, participation poses a risk to the Guest's health or safety.
8. RIGHT TO REFUSE PARTICIPATION
- 8.1The Company and the boat captain reserve the right to refuse or remove any Guest who poses a risk to themselves, other guests, the crew, or the environment, without refund.
9. LIABILITY WAIVER AND RELEASE
- 9.1To the fullest extent permitted by Philippine law, the Guest releases and holds harmless the Company, its owners, employees, captains, crew, and partner operators from any liability for injury, death, loss, or damage arising from the Guest's participation, EXCEPT where caused by the gross negligence or willful misconduct of the Company.
- 9.2This waiver does not exclude liability that cannot be excluded under Philippine law, including liability arising from the Company's failure to maintain a seaworthy vessel, hold required permits, or comply with applicable safety regulations.
10. INDEMNITY
- 10.1The Guest agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Company against any claims, losses, costs, or expenses arising from the Guest's breach of these terms, negligence, or unlawful conduct during the tour.
11. CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY
- 11.1Cancellations and refunds are subject to our Cancellation Policy. Our full Cancellation Policy, including specific refund tiers (>48 hours, 18-48 hours, and less than 18 hours before your tour), is provided with your booking confirmation and available at https://www.meetmetours.com/cancellation-policy.
- 11.2Cash bookings not paid by the stated deadline may be automatically cancelled without refund.
- 11.3No refunds are given for no-shows, late arrivals causing missed departure, or removal from the tour due to breach of these terms.
- 11.4Tours cancelled by the Company due to weather or safety considerations will be rescheduled or refunded at the Company's discretion.
12. GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION
- 12.1These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines.
- 12.2Any dispute arising from or related to these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Palawan, Philippines.
